 Welcome back everyone!

Today we're working with something a little different than jobs and the things people MUST or MUSTN'T do in those jobs. Let's see what this is about!

Hoy vamos a trabajar con algo diferente que trabajos y con las cosas que la gente DEBE o NO DEBE hacer en esos trabajos. ¡Veamos de que se trata!

Like you can see, these aren't OBLIGATIONS or PROHIBITIONS for jobs. Who are they for?

Como pueden ver, estas no son OBLIGACIONES o PROHIBICIONES para trabajos. ¿Para quién son?

Yes! They are school OBLIGATIONS and PROHIBITIONS. They are for students like you!

¡Sí! Son OBLIGACIONES y PROHIBICIONES de la escuela. ¡Son para estudiantes como ustedes!

Let's see if you can recognise an OBLIGATION or a PROHIBITION in ACTIVITY 1.

Veamos si pueden reconocer una OBLIGACIÓN o una PROHIBICIÓN en la ACTIVITY 1.

• Activity 1: Write OBLIGATION or PROHIBITION next to the correct pictures.
• Actividad 1: Escribir OBLIGATION o PROHIBITION al lado de las fotos según corresponda.

Great! We know that when we say MUST it is an Obligation and when we say MUSTN'T it is a Prohibition.

Let's do Activity 2. We are going to read a Poem about School Rules!

Hagamos la ACTIVTY 2. ¡Vamos a leer un Poema acerca de las Reglas de la Escuela!

• Activity 2: Read the poem "School Rules" and write 3 verbs from the poem in the comments below this blog. HINT: Verbs are actions like "KNOW" and  "RUN". I marked one verb for you, but you have to find 3 more.
• Actividad 2: Leer el poema "School Rules" y escribir 3 verbos del poema en los comentarios de este blog. PISTA: Los verbos son acciones como "KNOW" y  "CORRER". Yo marqué un verb para ustedes, pero tienen que encontrar 3 más.

School Rules

Everyone knows my class is cool

because we know all the rules in school.

We must behave in class every day,

we follow the rules as we work and play.

Here is a rule, the most important of all,

we must respect everyone, both big or small.

We must be kind and treat everyone with care,

taking turns is important and we always share.

We must listen to our teacher with both ears,

our voices must be quiet so others can hear.

We must raise our hand to talk, we must not interrupt,

then we must use a speaking voice, never a shout.

When it’s the break and we have to go,

we must line up and walk in a quiet row.

Everyone knows my class is cool,

Because we all follow all the rules in school.
